The team worked with our friends who are church planting in Sarajevo and had the privilege of heading to the streets with an art installation called the 'Throne of Grace' as well as an interactive art outreach titled 'My dream for Sarajevo...'. As a result they had some incredible conversations and times of prayer with people from the local communities. The team also spent some time worshiping in significant places - over the source of the river Bosna, and from a fort overlooking the city.
The Romania team headed out to our friends at Stepping Stone ministries in a town called Medgidia and worked hard delivering a number of children's ministry sessions across different villages. They also spent time in the community centre set up to help break the cycle of poverty among the Roma gypsy community, through education, basic health care and a feeding programme.
The team in Serbia had a wonderful time praying for people, meeting local teenagers, sharing their faith and stories of God in their lives. They face painted, balloon modelled and headed out to listen to God's direction for each day. This is the third year a team has been to Serbia, and each time they visit, God seems to open doors to something new. This year the team prayed and saw a number of healings in a particular town which had never seen the likes of it before!
This year we upped the adventure with a Mystery Team who only found out where they were going when they got to the airport! Don't worry - we sent them to our friends in YWAM Cheb in the Czech Republic where they did some art/graffiti outreach with local young people, befriended and encouraged local young people as well as preached and shared their testimonies in churches.
"The camp allowed me to come out of this tiny bubble of comfort that had become the shape of my faith."
"It's amazing how much you can see you faith develop and establish in just a couple of weeks. You make really amazing friendships and it allows you some time to listen to what God has planned for your own life."
"Romania was amazing! If you are looking for experience in mission work, YWAM is the place for you. Your life will be transformed and your eyes will be opened to the things unseen."
